in the winter for ice-skating, plenty of parking, eight lighted tennis courts and
a lighted skate park.
Soccer Complex
On Monday, August 17, 1998, Recreational Soccer
teams made up of 3rd - 6th graders, along with teams from Pella
Christian High, Pella Christian Grade School and Club teams, opened play on the new
Soccer Complex. Located on thirty (30) acres 1? miles south of Pella off Neil Drive,
the new Soccer Complex is the result of generous donations by local foundations,
businesses and individuals as well as hard work by a dedicated group of soccer enthusiasts
that formed a committee to oversee the fund-raising and construction of the project.
While the fields were ready for play, weather did delay the construction of the concession
stand and the installation of lights for the “game field.” The complex can accommodate
three regulation size fields as well as three smaller fields for the younger players. |
